A spark has formed between the Gold Coast Titans and eLu with the pair joining forces to form the first electric vehicle sports partnership in Australia.
Helping bolster the Titans' efforts in the community, eLu will be an official support partner for the club's Leagueability program as well as investing in the club's corporate community, with a supporting partnership to the Titans in Business network events.
The official partnership launch coincided with the unveiling of Australia's most powerful battery integrated electric vehicle supercharger station at Parkwood Village - home of the Titans high performance training centre.
The eLu D1 Supercharger features a built in 193kWh battery stack and a smart energy management system to minimise power draw on the grid and optimise sustainability.
eLu's Queensland director Doug Fraser was on hand to help launch the new charger as part of the club's new formation, as the uptake of electric vehicles on the Gold Coast continue to be the fastest in Queensland.
"I’m really proud to unveil our eLu Supercharger here at Parkwood Village as part of our partnership with the Gold Coast Titans," he said.
"The Titans really value the Gold Coast community and their engagement with the community really match our values with the community as well.
"We want to be part ofthe community and a great way to do that is through our partnership with the Titans and in paricular, becoming involved in the club's Leagueability teams and their Indigenous programs with the Titans.
"It will really help us connect with the Gold Coast community which is our goal."
Star Titan AJ Brimson joined in launching the new supercharger as a proud EV driver, encouraging the Gold Coast community to continue their investment in electric vehicles.
"It's very exciting to be launching the brand new charging station here as part of our new partnership with eLu," Brimson said.
"I'm trying to do my part and change the world one step at a time, so this launch is extra special for me.
"I love driving electric and I don't miss going to petrol stations and it's even more exciting that I have a charging station here at the club."
