Late mail: Hasler makes seven changes for Dolphins trial
In his first hit-out as Gold Coast coach, Des Hasler has made a stack of changes to his game day line-up as the Titans prepare to face the Dolphins in Trial 1 at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Six interchange players have been promoted to the starting line-up; headlined by Tom Weaver's inclusion in the halves from kick-off and new top 30 recruit Harley Smith-Shields getting his first crack in the centres from the opening whistle.
Stand-in captain Joe Stimson will begin at lock alongside youngsters Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, Josiah Pahulu, Klese Haas, Arama Hau and Vaka Sikahele making up the forward pack against a near full-strength opposition.
As confirmed on Saturday, Seth Nikotemo has been withdrawn from the clash, paving the way for former Titan Joe Vuna to return to his old club for another NRL opportunity as a train-and-trialist.
Kick-off is at 5.15pm (AEST) on Fox League and Kayo Sports.
