Titans to honour Anzac Round with limited edition jersey

The Titans will proudly don a special playing jersey against the Warriors in New Zealand on Thursday, featuring several key touch points to commemorate Anzac Round.

To compliment the Gold Coast's special-designed Anzac Round warm-up tee that pays homage to fallen Titans member and Victoria Cross recipient Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG and the Currumbin RSL, the limited edition jersey will include three important items in respect of the many brave men and women who have or are currently serving Australia and New Zealand.

This includes a poppy circled with Corporal Baird's personal motto - Aspire to Inspire - found on the left hand chest above the Titans badge, as well as a camouflaged outline of each playing number on the back.

The jersey will also feature recognition of long-time club strapper Darrell Madge, who is a Vietnam veteran and has been involved in the Titans since its inception, having also been engrained in previous Gold Coast franchises in years gone by.

Alongside the important Anzac honours on the jersey, it will also be a special round for locally-based community organisation Gold Coast Hospital Foundation, who will represented on the front as part of an initiative led by Titans principal partner The Lottery Office.

The Round 8 playing jerseys will be available for auction post-match, with all funds raised going to Currumbin RSL's veteran support beneficiary - The Ron Workman OAM Veterans' Support Centre.

More details on how to bid will be available on titans.com.au this Wednesday, April 24.
