NRL 2024: Titans, Late mail: Titans make spine switch ahead of Cowboys derby

Titans coach Des Hasler has confirmed a spine switch for Sunday's XXXX Derby against the Cowboys, with a number of team changes ahead of kick-off.

Keano Kini will return to the Titans' coveted No. 1 position in his first game back since Round 3, pushing AJ Brimson to the halves and Chris Randall to dummy-half in the shake-up forced by a wrist injury to Tanah Boyd in last Saturday's showdown against the Storm. Sam Verrills will start from the pine.

The experienced mentor has also made a change to the forward pack with Klese Haas to start at lock, moving Isaac Liu to the bench; with the remainder of the side to remain as per program. Alofiana Khan-Pereira will be the 18th man.

Hoping to avenge the Gold Coast's Round 5 loss to North Queensland, the side will take plenty of confidence in defeating the Cowboys the last time they were at Cbus Super Stadium - winning that clash 22-13 in Round 22, 2023.
