Injury report: Scan results show Francis' courage in debut derby clash

Tony Francis showed extreme courage to play through the pain in Sunday's win against the Broncos with scans revealing the debutant to have suffered an AC joint injury in the clash.

Coming from the field in the 19th minute after having played through the discomfort since the third minute - even scoring his first try in the process - the young gun will spend the next four to six weeks on the sidelines in recovery.

Francis was the only player injury to come out of the brave two-point victory at Suncorp Stadium with David Fifita given the green light after passing his head injury assessment post-match, coming from the field in the 75th minute for that test.
