Gold Coast hooker Sam Verrills has been charged by the match review committee following the Titans' Round 14 clash against the Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon.
Placed on report in the 64th minute, the enforcer has been hit with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge on South Sydney outside back Richie Kennar in what is deemed to be his first offence.
But in good news for the Titans dummy-half, the early guilty plea will only result in a $1,000 fine. Should he elect to fight the charge and be found guilty at the hearing, he will be charged $1,500.
No plea has been submitted at this time.
