Locked in: Fifita ruled out of Tigers clash
Powerhouse forward David Fifita is set to miss the Titans' Round 15 clash against the Wests Tigers as the Gold Coast finalise their preparations for the trip to Sydney.
The club has taken a precautionary approach to rest the star from the matchup following a minor ankle injury, but is expecting Fifita to return for next Saturday’s game at home against the Warriors.
His omission sees Klese Haas moved to the edge and Erin Clark promoted to the starting lock role; whilst Jacob Alick-Wiencke comes back onto the bench in the only other change made 24 hours before kick-off.
Having won 10 of the past 12 games against the Tigers, Leichhardt Oval has been a happy hunting ground for the Gold Coast, winning four of the five previous matchups at the venue – most recently in Round 1 last year 22-10.
Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday, June 15.
