Judiciary update: Campbell cleared for Coffs half century

Gold Coast playmaker Jayden Campbell will be free to make his 50th NRL appearance in a fortnight despite being charged by the match review committee following the Titans' Round 16 win against the Warriors.

Placed on report in the 28th minute, the five-eighth has been hit with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge on Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in what is deemed to be his first offence.

But in good news for Campbell, the early guilty plea will only result in a $1,000 fine, clearing the way to notch up his half century against the Sharks in Coffs Harbour. Should he elect to fight the charge and be found guilty at the hearing, he will be charged $1,500.

No plea has been submitted at this time.
