Locked in: Brimson, Sami ruled out of Sharks clash
AJ Brimson will miss the Titans' Coffs Harbour clash against the Sharks alongside experienced flyer Phil Sami, who has also been withdrawn from the Friday night fixture.
Having returned to full training this week and named to comeback against Cronulla, club medicos have made the precautionary decision to rest Brimson for an extra week as he overcomes a groin injury sustained in Round 10.
Sami has also been put on ice after suffering a calf strain ahead of Gold Coast's captain's run on Thursday, which will see Jacob Alick-Wiencke return to the 17 in the centres to replace the 115-game outside back.
Tanah Boyd will also play his first game since dislocating his wrist in Round 9, coming in to fill the vacant five-eighth role alongside Kieran Foran.
The remainder of the side remains as per program, with Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui and Jaylan De Groot remaining on the extended bench for the contest.
Kick-off is at 6pm Friday at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Coffs Harbour.
