Affiliate wrap: Titans halves dominate in Seagulls, Jets big wins

The Titans playmaking stocks were given a huge boost with Tom Weaver and Tanah Boyd's influence in their respective Hostplus Cup games at the weekend.

Tweed halfback Weaver doubled up against Souths Logan in their 50-12 romp at Cbus Super Stadium, with the 21-year-old also setting up a further four-pointer as the Seagulls kickstarted their finals hopes with the display.

Jacob Alick-Wiencke also impressed on his return to Cup from NRL duties with 183 running metres, a line break assist and a try assist.

Next to face the Clydesdales in Dalby for Country Week, Tweed will likely need to win three out of their four remaining games to qualify for the top eight, also facing the Devils (home), Hunters (away) and Capras (home) in their final month.

Meanwhile; on Sunday, Tanah Boyd's perfect boot helped the Jets to a 48-12 victory over the Clydesdales in Ipswich.

Kicking eight from eight goals as their five-eighth, he also broke six tackles to help his affiliate side to back-to-back wins alongside six of his Titans teammates who featured in the Round 18 clash.

Joe Stimson dominated the win up front with 245 running metres; whilst Arama Hau continued to impress at lock with 28 tackles at 97 percent efficiency.

The Jets travel to South Kolan in a fortnight to face the Falcons; before finishing with the Cutters (home), Dolphins (away), Bears (away) and Magpies (away).
