Twin wins propel Titans into major semi finals

It was a double delight at Nissan Arena for the Titans Netball program, with both the Sapphire and Ruby Series sides notching wins against the Brisbane North Cougars.

Temepara Bailey's Sapphire Series side claimed a 64 goals to 50 win against the 2023 premiers, to lock up second spot on the ladder.

It means the Titans will have a double chance in the finals series, lining up in the major semi final next week against Ipswich Jets.

The result knocks Cougars out of the competition, with Sunshine Coast Thunder and Bond University Bullsharks to play in the minor semi final.

Titans finish with an 8 wins, 4 loss record from the 12 regular season games and will take extra confidence into the major semi-final having pushed the ladder leaders last round (going down to Jets by just one goal in round 13).

The Erin Byrnes coached Ruby Series side also finished with a bang, notching a 69 goals to 51 win against Cougars.

This match had extra significance, with second spot on the ladder up for grabs for the winner.

The result means the Titans will play in the major semi final against Carina Leagues Club Tigers in week one of the finals, while Cougars and Bond University Bullsharks will battle in the 3v4 matchup.

Titans finish with an 11 win, 3 loss record from their 14 games.
