Titans coach Des Hasler has confirmed AJ Brimson won't play against the Sea Eagles on Sunday after reporting soreness from last weekend's win against the Eels.

Getting through 52 minutes in his first game back after being sidelined for nine weeks, Gold Coast medicos have again taken a precautionary approach with the 25-year-old as he continues his rehab from a groin injury.

Keano Kini will remain at fullback after playing a dynamic utility role last week, with Hasler confirming his 19-man squad remains unchanged except for Brimson's omission.

Tanah Boyd has been named as the Gold Coast's replacement player, with Jacob Alick-Wiencke and Jaylan De Groot also making way in the 24-hour team submission.

Kick-off is at 4.05pm on Sunday at 4 Pines Park, Sydney.
