Round 1 team: Debuts, milestones and more for Red V opener

The Titans will kickstart their 2024 campaign celebrating a debut and a milestone as they aim to go one better after a heartbreaking finish to last year's season.

Aiming to avenge their grand final defeat in the dying moments, the Gold Coast travel to Wollongong to face the Dragons in Round 1, featuring a relatively unchanged line-up from their last showing in 2023.

Although, this week's team will see a fresh face in young gun Lily Kolc making her debut off the bench in a utility role after being promoted to the top 24 in 2024.

Origin playmaker Taliah Fuimaono also returns after an ankle injury kept the star out of all but one game of last year's season - the former Dragon hoping to get back to her best after impressing in Titans' recent trial against the Cowboys.

It will also be a special occasion for Gold Coast star Evania Pelite, who brings up her 25th NRLW appearance this weekend.

Kick-off is at 12pm on Sunday at WIN Stadium, Wollongong.
