Round 2 team: Sevens star set for debut in Wests Tigers tussle

Rugby Sevens convert Georgia Grey will become NRLW Titan #43 when she makes her debut for the Gold Coast in their quest against the Wests Tigers on Saturday.

Named on the wing in place of Karina Brown who has been ruled out with a calf injury, the 19-year-old has been rewarded for her strong pre-season after making the switch to rugby league, and got a firsthand experience of game day as 18th player in the Titans' season opener.

In the only other change to the 17 that slayed the Dragons, Rilee Jorgensen has been promoted to the starting side with Zara Canfield fracturing her thumb in the victory, which sees Hailee-Jay Ormond-Maunsell brought on the bench for her first appearance of 2024.

Excited to return home for the first of four games this season, less than 100 tickets remain for the NRL / NRLW double header, with the full house sign anticipated to go up in the next 24 hours.

Kick-off is at 12.45pm on Saturday, the first of two games at Cbus Super Stadium.
