The Titans are only one result away from clinching XXXX Derby honours in 2024 after their dominant 46-18 victory against the Broncos on Saturday.
Played among the four Queensland clubs each year - Gold Coast's double against Brisbane alongside their wins against the Cowboys (Round 10) and Dolphins (Round 21) have put them in the box seat with a pivotal clash to be played out this weekend in Townsville.
Should the Cowboys defeat the Broncos on Saturday, the trophy will live on the Gold Coast for the first time in the new format; but if Brisbane bounce back and prove victorious in North Queensland, all eyes will be on Round 26's battle between them and the Dolphins.
Brisbane are the current holders of the XXXX Derby trophy after winning five of their six games last season - the Titans the only blemish on their 2023 record in Queensland clashes.
