Locked in: Fermor ruled out of possible early return
Beau Fermor won’t return against the Dragons with Titans coach Des Hasler confirming the versatile forward is set to miss another week with a bruised kidney.
Named as 18th man on Tuesday in the hope of returning for the trip to Wollongong, the 25-year-old was given every opportunity to prove his fitness, but Gold Coast medicos have opted for the star to remain on ice this week to ensure his availability for the last three games of the season.
Keeping an unchanged 1-17 ahead of game day, Tanah Boyd and Joe Stimson remain part of the extended squad ahead of the clash in Wollongong.
A huge occasion for the club given the enormity of Kieran Foran's 300-game milestone - the first player to achieve the feat in Titans colours - the visitors are also hoping to avenge their Round 1 defeat and create history by clinching their first victory in the Illawarra region, having been unsuccessful in their previous five visits to the venue.
