National Rugby League (NRL) CEO Andrew Abdo has congratulated Gold Coast Titans five-eighth Kieran Foran, who will play his 300th NRL match in Round 24.
Foran will become the 53rd NRL player to reach the milestone on Sunday against St George Illawarra Dragons.
The premiership winner will be handed the traditional 300-game match ball after the Titans play the Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium on August 25. This will be the Titans’ first home fixture after Foran’s 300th match.
“On behalf of the rugby league community, I congratulate Kieran on reaching the milestone of 300 NRL games,” Mr Abdo said.
“You do not reach 300 NRL games without massive amounts of dedication, professionalism, and talent.
"Since his debut for Manly in 2009, Kieran's enormous contributions to the game over 16 seasons has been recognised by his teammates, who voted him player of the year on two occasions and thousands of fans across Australia and New Zealand who have been entertained by his playmaking abilities, his commitment on defence and his leadership on and off the field.
“Congratulations to Kieran on reaching this milestone and I wish him success for the remainder of his career.”
