The 2024 Veronica White Medal – Woman of the Year presented by Westpac, recognises the genuine contributions a NRLW player has made not only on the field, but their positive impact in their local community.

Jaime is consistently out in the community across the Coast and visits multiple junior rugby league clubs, schools and events each week.

A wonderful ambassador for the game, Jaime is proactive in finding events and community members who need support, making it her personal mission to support them.

Jaime stays in contact with the students and junior rugby league players she meets, taking on a mentoring role to the next generation of NRLW players.

Titans NRLW Captain Georgia Hale says the whole squad is excited for Jaime to be recognised for the work that she does that often goes unnoticed.

"Week in week out, people see Chappo on-field for what she does and the freakish ability she has but equally, just as beautiful is her time for people," Hale said.

"She leads with her heart with the work that she does in the community.

"On behalf of the playing group, we are so proud that she is nominated for the 2024 Veronica White Medal, she is so deserving and her work does not go unnoticed."

Chapman was surprised by Brooke Langeveld who told her about the nomination in front of the playing group.

"I met Brooke through working with the Titans community," Chapman said.

"Ever since she has been our water-girl and I've done some support work one-on-one and she's become like my little sister now."

Incredibly passionate about First Nations matters, Jaime has worked closely with Preston Campbell OAM across a range of initiatives and Titans programs.

The former Dally M winner says having seen Chapman at the Titans Deadly Futures program and across other areas within the community, he knows that she is well and truly worth of the nomination.

"Jaime is definitely worth of it (the nomination) for the work that she's been able to do and she does it with such humility and you can just see that she enjoys it," Preston Campbell said.

"She understands the importance of it.

"I see a lot of work that she does on a volunteer basis ... she wants to learn more about what she can do in the community and her presence in that space, we can't underestimate it."

The work in this space is something that Chapman is keen to continue.

"I love going out to communities, especially Indigenous communities," she said.

"I think that is where I'm at my best and where I thrive the most.

"I feel like I can relate to those kids, they've always got a smile on their face and that's what means most to me."
