Late mail: Rookie replaces Lofipo in two changes for Sharks battle

Young gun Lailani Montgomery will partner Lauren Brown in the halves with Titans coach Karyn Murphy making two late changes for their clash against the Sharks at Cbus Super Stadium.

Initially set to be Sienna Lofipo who was named to replace Taliah Fuimaono at five-eighth due to suspension, an arm injury at training this week has ruled out the rising star, with Montgomery elevated from 18th player to starting No. 6.

Rilee Jorgensen has also been sidelined from this clash with a back injury, bringing Hailee-Jay Ormond-Maunsell onto the bench; whilst Ngatokotoru Arakua will be the 18th player.

The remainder of the side remains as per program.

In a historic first for the Gold Coast, they'll wear the inaugural NRLW Indigenous jersey designed by Titans NRL player Alofiana Khan-Pereira's mother, Sylvia Khan - which was also worn by the club's NRL side in their Round 12 victory against the Broncos.

The jersey depicts the journey of young Titans making their way to first grade with the club and a specific focus on Khan-Pereira and Jaime Chapman's journeys, and is the first jersey to incorporate both NRL and NRLW players in the one design.
