Round 8 team: Murphy turns to youth to replace injured trio for grand final rematch
Titans coach Karyn Murphy has been forced to make three changes for this Saturday's grand final rematch after a trio of Gold Coast stars were ruled out with season-ending injuries.
Facing the Knights at home, Lauren Brown (hand), Niall Williams-Guthrie (lisfranc) and Matekino Gray (shoulder) will be unavailable for the clash; although the side is expected to welcome back Jaime Chapman (hamstring) and Taliah Fuimaono (suspension) for the must-win clash.
Murphy will look to youth this weekend with young gun Lailani Montgomery named in the halves to replace Brown, whilst Sarina Masaga shifts back to the bench as outside back coverage after an impressive debut against the Eels last Sunday.
Fellow young gun Sienna Lofipo will remain at five-eighth with Fuimaono replacing Williams-Guthrie in the centres, with the remainder of the side as per program for the Saturday afternoon showdown.
The second of two games in a NRLW double header, the Brisbane Broncos take on the Cronulla Sharks in a top of the table clash at 12pm, with the grand final rematch immediately following at 1.45pm.
