The Titans are pleased to announce Brian Kelly and Jaime Chapman have progressed to the final stage of the NRL Community Awards which will be announced at the Dally M Awards.
The Gold Coast duo both finished in the final four of their respective categories - Ken Stephen Medal (NRL) and Veronica White Medal (NRLW); recognising the effort of players who have not only achieved on the field, but have committed time off the field to community projects.
The pair regularly go above and beyond in their involvement in charity work, youth development and community support with Kelly and Chapman huge fan favourites for their work in the Northern Rivers areas especially.
One of Kelly’s notable contributions is his longstanding involvement with Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ), helping promote the annual DSQ run out since his days with the U20s team over 11 years ago, highlighting his ongoing dedication to supporting DSQ and promoting community participation.
Kelly's commitment to community earns Ken Stephen Medal nomination
He is also a proud Bundjalung man and continually provides support and guidance to Indigenous youth alongside working closely with Preston Campbell OAM to deliver programs that assist First Nations young adults across the Titans’ catchment area.
For Chapman, the recent Preston Award winner is consistently out in the community across the Coast and visits multiple junior rugby league clubs, schools and events each week.
Love of community why Chappo is Titans' Veronica White Medal nominee
A wonderful ambassador for the game, Jaime is proactive in finding events and community members who need support, making it her personal mission to support them, even staying in contact with the students and junior rugby league players she meets, taking on a mentoring role to the next generation of NRLW players.
Both medals will be announced at the Dally M Awards night on Wednesday, October 2.
