Pelite to headline Fetū Sāmoa

Titans player of the year Evania Pelite is one of four Gold Coast representatives set to partake in the upcoming Pacific Championships for Samoa.

The triple-code International made the decision to switch her allegiances earlier this year, wanting to honour her mother's side of the family after a successful stint with the Jillaroos including a World Cup win in 2022.

Laikha Clarke is in line to make her International debut alongside rising rookie Sarina Masaga, whilst Sienna Lofipo will run out and represent her heritage again in 2024 after making her maiden campaign with Fetū Sāmoa last year.

Titans rookie set for Samoa debut

Josiah Pahulu is anticipated to make his International debut with Toa Samoa after being named in their squad to tour the United Kingdom in late October.

Alongside fellow forward Keenan Palasia, the duo will play a two-Test series against England in Wigan and Leeds; whilst their women's counterparts will remain in the Oceania region for the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Perese to represent Tonga

Emerging Titans forward Dannii Perese will again represent Tonga at the upcoming Pacific Championships after making her International debut in 2023.

Their first clash will be against Fetu Samoa - which is expected to feature a number of Gold Coast teammates - on Saturday, October 19 in Fiji.

Kini, Hale form part of Kiwis

Reigning Paul Broughton Medallist Keano Kini has been selected in the New Zealand squad, alongside NRLW captain Georgia Hale who again will skipper the Kiwi Ferns in their upcoming campaign.

Kini formed part of the wider men's squad in 2023 but never played in their historic Pacific Championships win, instead representing New Zealand A against Tonga A in a one-off clash last October.

It's expected he'll make his highly-anticipated debut given the mounting injuries to Kiwis-eligible players with their first match to be against the Kangaroos on Sunday, October 27 in Christchurch - a double header alongside the Kiwi Ferns.

Warriors-bound Titan Erin Clark has also been selected in the squad as a well deserved recognition for his standout season.

Incumbent trio named for Jillaroos

The Titans have had three Jillaroos selected for the upcoming Pacific Championships, kicking off in Brisbane on Friday, October 18.

Lauren Brown, Shannon Mato and Jess Elliston will all return to green and gold duties after strong individual seasons - the trio also forming part of the Australian line-up for last year's series.

Jaime Chapman will miss the 2024 Pacific Championships after a hamstring injury troubled the star throughout the season; whilst Evania Pelite switched her allegiance to Samoa after a successful Jillaroos career which included the 2022 World Cup.

Gold Coast stars Brown, Chapman and Shaylee Bent will head to Papua New Guinea to feature in the Prime Ministers' XIII clash in Port Moresby, alongside men's players Alofiana Khan-Pereira and Beau Fermor.
