The Gold Coast Titans are proud to celebrate a successful inaugural year of the HART Titans Netball School League, with over 100 schools participating across the season.
After receiving feedback from local schools that they were craving more chances to play competitive netball, the Gold Coast launched the HART Titans Netball Schools League.
Since its inception in April of this year, the league has showcased over 1,000 students across the 12 single-day carnivals, with expectations of further growth in 2025.
As the inaugural season comes to a close, Titans Head of Netball Temepara Bailey reflects on the crucial role the competition has played in offering young athletes across Queensland valuable opportunities to further develop their skills.
"The competition is massively important, not only for the schools but for the development of the game and the netball pathways in our community," Bailey said.
"Bringing the young players together in one venue and getting that competitive edge against the top-level teams but also giving the opportunity to the schools that aren't associated with any other competitions is really important.
"In other school leagues, only selected teams get the chance to compete which leaves a lot of teams without the opportunity to play competition netball, so HART Titans Schools League caters for that.
"There was so much talent on show throughout the year and it’s been really amazing to see.
Especially where we are with our Titans program and our position in the sport, it's amazing for us to view those pathways on a regular basis."
Congratulations to all teams for their hard work throughout the year and a special thank you to our competition naming rights partner HART Sport for their commitment to supporting grassroots sport and the growth of netball talent in Queensland.
