Keano Kini's incredible International debut series has put the Gold Coast whiz kid among Golden Boot conversations - one of three Titans nominated for rugby league's top gong.
Topping the running metres count in all three of his appearances for New Zealand, the 20-year-old finished the Pacific Championships with an average of 265 each match, alongside being a tackle-busting machine with an average of six per game over the tournament.
The reigning Paul Broughton Medallist also scored his maiden four-pointer against Tonga with his electrifying speed getting him over the line.
Kini joins Kiwi Ferns captain and defending female Golden Boot winner Georgia Hale as nominees representing New Zealand; whilst Evania Pelite is also among NRLW players in the running after being recognised for her heroics with Fetu Samoa, helping them qualify for their maiden Rugby League World Cup appearance in 2026.
The Golden Boot champions are set to be announced in December; the men's winner to be determined by Golden Cap recipients Darren Lockyer (Australia), James Graham (England) and Petero Civoniceva (Australia/Fiji).
The women's honour will be judged by Australian Jillaroos great Karyn Murphy, New Zealand dual code superstar Honey Hireme-Smiler and England international Danika Priim.
