#QLDER clashes: Check out the Titans' biggest rivalries in '25

These ones are always some of the first circled on the calendar - the Queensland derbies.

The Titans came out on top in terms of the local head-to-head battles in 2024, claiming the XXXX Derby Trophy and will be determined to keep it on the mantle piece into next season with the Dolphins, Broncos and Cowboys all circling.

The Gold Coast side grabbed four out of a possible six wins against Sunshine State opponents in '24 and will be aiming for a clean sweep in 2025.

Fans will even be treated to two early Queensland clashes as matinees - the Titans playing the Broncos and Dolphins in the Pre-Season Challenge - before the first 'proper' showdown for points kicks off in Round 5.

Here are the blockbuster Queensland clashes again on the calendar.

The Titans claimed back-to-back W's against the Broncos and have now won their past three against 'big brother' Brisbane - hoping to extend it to five on the trot with another clean sweep against their biggest rivals.

The beefed up pack featuring Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Moeaki Fotuaika and Reagan Campbell-Gillard up front comes up against the Broncos duo of Patrick Carrigan and Payne Haas.

Gold Coast's clash at home on Sunday, July 14 will be extra special with it being the first double Macca's Local Derby - NRLW kickstarting the rivalry at 4pm.

The Cows were Queensland's top performers in 2024, finishing fifth on the ladder and again playing finals football; but yet the Titans were too good for them at Cbus Super Stadium, holding on through an injury-ravaged second half to now have back-to-back home wins against their Queensland rivals.

Hopes are again high in the North, and the two fixtures against the far-northern neighbours will again hold plenty of intrigue in 2025.

Brian Kelly opens Titans account

The 'Phins had the early wood in this new Queensland derby, winning both of their games in their inaugural year against the Titans; but last year the points were split with both teams grabbing the win on opposition turf.

The Sunshine Showdown is a friendly rivalry, but a battle nonetheless that will ramp up even further in '25 with two key clashes on the calendar being important games for the duo who both look to push into finals contention.
