International prop inks Titans extension

Ngatokotoru Arakua will remain a Titan in 2025 with the experienced prop signing an extension to stay on the Gold Coast.

Joining Karyn Murphy’s top 24 after previously playing for the Broncos and Knights, the 27-year-old has cemented her spot in the forward pack following a strong first season in new colours.

Becoming NRLW Titan #44 in Round 3 against her former side Brisbane, Arakua made three appearances across the 2024 campaign, even crossing the line for her first Gold Coast try in Parramatta.

Away from the Titans, the experienced forward boasts an impressive resumé that includes representing New Zealand and the Cook Islands on the International stage – including playing a part of the Moana camp at the most recent Pacific Championships.

Set to embark on her fifth season in the NRLW in 2025, Arakua's strength will continue to help bolster the Titans forward pack which already features several representative stars including Shannon Mato, Jess Elliston and Georgia Hale.

Murphy is thrilled to have the powerhouse prop re-commit to the Gold Coast for another season, acknowledging the depth the Cook Islands star has brought to the forward line.

"Having been a proven performer in the NRLW over recent years, it was no surprise how seamlessly Toru slotted into the squad in her first season at the club," she said.

"Not only does she have a strong presence on the field, she brings a playful energy among the team which keeps spirits high during those tough moments.

"I’m extremely pleased we have her in our pack in 2025 and I can’t wait to see her continue to grow within our side next year."
