The Gold Coast Titans have bolstered their NRLW coaching staff ahead of the 2025 pre-season with Aaron Booth returning as assistant coach.
Forced into early retirement after a serious knee injury sustained during his stint with the Titans in 2022, the fan favourite remained part of the Gold Coast family in a similar role in 2023, helping the side to their inaugural grand final.
Briefly stepping away last year to pursue other endeavours, Booth is eager to be back in an expanded role and reunite with head coach Karyn Murphy and the club.
"It always feels like home here at the Titans," he said.
"The entire club was so supportive during my transition, giving me the chance to work with Murph and the NRLW program which was such a great experience.
"I'm excited to be back this year in a full-time capacity and do my part in continuing to grow our NRLW program and get the team ready for a big 2025.
"Our group is young and full of potential. We've shown in the past that we can compete with the best teams in the competition but just have to find that consistency week-in, week-out; which is what we'll be aiming to achieve this year."
After a challenging 2024 campaign, Murphy is pleased to welcome Booth back to her coaching staff in what will be a monumental year for women's rugby league.
"Boothy has such exceptional knowledge and passion for the game and it's a pleasure to welcome him back and have him working with our squad again," she said.
"He was a pivotal cog in helping us get to the grand final in 2023 and I'm glad he has accepted this new role, which will also see him assist with our female recruitment and the continued growth of our female pathways."
