Captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is out to make an instant impact in his return from an ACL rupture as the Titans look to climb the NRL ladder in 2025.

The Titans haven't played finals football since 2021, but the early evidence suggests they will have all the ingredients required to snap the drought this season.

Fa'asuamaleaui lasted just two games last year before rupturing his ACL late in a Round 3 loss to the Bulldogs. The injury swung the team's season and dealt their top-eight hopes a major blow.

Twelve months later and the hulking prop is determined to make up for lost time as Hasler looks to build on a promising finish to 2024.

While the results did not go their way, there were flashes of brilliance from a number of promising youngster. Fullback Keano Kini emerged as one of the most exciting players in the NRL while Alofiana Khan-Pereira set a new club record for tries.

The duo remain in their early 20s and look set to play a key role in an exciting Titans backline.

James Graham dissects the Titans 2025 NRL Draw

Perhaps the biggest wildcard for the Gold Coast is rugby union convert Carter Gordon. The former Wallabies five-eighth starred in the 15-man game and Hasler will be hoping he quickly finds his feet in the NRL.

The Titans were dealt a setback late in the pre-season when Gordon was struck down by a back injury. The playmaker was ruled out for the Witzer Pre-Season Challenge with no firm date for his return.

Up front, veteran prop and new recruit Reagan Campbell-Gillard will provide leadership and forward punch while David Fifita remains one of the most punishing forwards in the NRL on his day.

Campbell-Gillard suffered a shoulder injury during the pre-season however he is expected to be available for the club's first match of the regular season in Round 2.

The Titans have the squad to finish inside the top eight, they just have to perform at a consistent level to ensure they progress to the finals.
