An extremely defiant Kieran Foran has vowed his latest setback won't close the curtain on his illustrious career as he awaits the prognosis of his injured bicep in Saturday's trial win against the Dolphins in Redcliffe.
Forced onto the sidelines in the 36th minute after coming off the bench in a new role for the Titans in 2025, the highly-credentialled 34-year-old will await the results of scans to determine if surgery is required, but is steadfast on returning as quickly as he can for his 17th season in the NRL.
"It won't be the end of me. I've committed to this year and I'm sticking strong to that," Foran said post-match.
"I've gotten pretty good at dealing with these setbacks.
"If it is worst case scenario and it's surgery [that's required], I'll get that done, knuckle down with my rehab and then attack the backend of the year."

Watching on as the new-look Gold Coast spine comprising of Keano Kini, AJ Brimson and Jayden Campbell turned heads in the 26-18 victory, their combination came as no surprise to the seasoned playmaker who has had a front row seat to the box-office viewing as a key mentor of theirs throughout the pre-season.
"They were super. The entire spine... the nine, seven, six and one were outstanding," Foran said.
"The way they connected out there, they've been doing it all pre-season and they're just the excitement machines.
"You could just see tonight with the style of footy they were able to play off the cuff and they just allowed their natural ability of skill and speed to take over at times which was super impressive.
"They're going to play an instrumental role in the outcome of our season and they're all up for it."

Captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui also impressed in his first game back from his ACL rupture, setting the tone for the Titans pack with his energy and aggression from the opening whistle, taking the field like he had never left it despite missing the past 12 months recovering.
"He's our alpha male, he's our skipper, he's our leader and losing him last year... you can't replace what he brings. I think you saw that tonight just with his presence" Foran said.
"He's a big man, he's athletic and he's able to attack the game in a way that not many can and put the fear into the opposition. We've missed that.
"Having him back and the way he returned is a credit to the way he's applied himself through his rehab and he got himself ready to go.
"He didn't look like he missed a beat tonight."
