To help with your selections, Titans.com.au has identified some of the key players that could line up in the hooking role this season.
Sam Verrills
Age: 26 | Appearances: 83
This is the obvious one and the player that almost everyone will select in their team you'd imagine. The 26-year-old has looked sensational in pre-season, especially in the trial match against the Dolphins where he linked nicely with a new-look spine. Verrills played every game last season and the former premiership winner is looking to make a big impact in what will be his third season as a Titan.
Chris Randall
Age: 29 | Appearances: 74
He doesn't like the tag "Mr Fix-it", but that's what Chris Randall became throughout 2024. His versatility and reliability meant he moved between hooker, lock, halves, second row and bench roles pending what hole needed filling. It's a disservice to label Chris a utility player, because he's got the skill and ability to own any one of the jerseys mentioned above. Armchair coaches will debate what his best position is, but one thing everyone agrees on is he is a must-pick in the 17 each week.
Kieran Foran
Age: 34 | Appearances: 303
Want to think a little outside the box? Maybe consider the veteran kiwi as your hooking option for 2025. Entering his 17th NRL season, Foran has obviously played the majority of his 300+ games in the halves. Don't forget though, he played hooker for New Zealand at the Pacific Championships very recently and looked fantastic in the role. There's been speculation on what his role will be in 2025, but we will have to wait a few weeks to see how Des Hasler deploys his long-time playmaker as Foran recovers from injury.

Ryder Williams
Age: 19 | Appearances: 0
Ryder Williams mightn't have the same credentials as the other men in this list, but maybe you're looking for an exciting next-gen option for your team selection?
The 19-year-old is equally capable in the hooking role as he is in the halves and could be a left-field selection that sets your side apart.
A Hostplus Cup debut is the first goal for Williams in 2025, but an NRL debut would be next. Does he make your side?
