It's back-to-back wins for the Titans, and this one was one to get Members and fans excited.
It wasn't perfect, but it was gritty as the Gold Coasters stayed in the arm-wrestle in Sydney against the Roosters, kicking away late to take a 30 points to 12 win.
Here are the key talking points from the round four clash:
Chooks hoodoo broken as Titans show they’re up for the fight
There are some stats that you just want to smash – and victory against the Roosters in Sydney tonight has done just that.
The Sydney side has been dominant against the Titans in recent seasons. Here’s some of the stats that as Gold Coasters we now can say goodbye to!

Brimson burrows over
The Roosters had won the past 11 games, the Titans longest drought against all NRL sides. The last victory for the Titans against the Roosters was in 2016, while the last win in Sydney was back in 2013.
This Titans side is different though. Across the first four rounds of the competition, you’re seeing a side that wants to be in the arm wrestle. The defence wasn’t perfect, but it was a side that scrapped for every tackle.
With possession against them in the first half and the Roosters having a half a dozen line breaks, the Titans only gave up the six points to be level with the Chooks at the break. This team looks up for it in 2025 – make sure you’ve got a ticket to watch them next week back at home against the Dolphins.
Creative Campbell the puppeteer in Titans win
It’s only his third game with the number seven on his back, but Jayden Campbell looks better and better every week.
The livewire half was in everything. His runaway intercept try ultimately was the key to the Titans hitting the lead at the back end of the second half. His combination with AJ Brimson continues to grow, as does his kicking game.
Campbell had 14 points, a key try, 177 run metres and a big influence on the game.
DeGroot fills the fullback boots with aplomb
He may be filling the shoes of the current New Zealand fullback and the Titans reigning Paul Broughton Medallist, but Jaylan De Groot well and truly held his own in his return to the NRL. With Keano Kini set for a stint on the sidelines with a neck injury, his fullback understudy well and truly looked up for the challenge.
You won't see him in the highlights reels for this game as there was nothing flashy, but his team will be thrilled with how he performed in his return to the top grade.
Expect his confidence to grow as he returns to Cbus Super Stadium next weekend for the Sunshine Showdown against the Dolphins.
