Jaime Chapman has already starred at NRLW, Origin and International level, but Karyn Murphy believes the best is yet to come for the electrifying outside back.

It's a scary prospect for opposition teams after the fan favourite inked a contract extension to remain on the Gold Coast until 2027 and the Titans coach believes her career is still in its infancy given her age, expecting to see the 23-year-old continue to grow and take her game to a whole new level.

"It's really exciting to keep a player like Chappo at our club," Murphy told titans.com.au.

"Her athletic ability is undeniable; but at just 23-years-old, the most exciting thing for her and the Titans is the bright future she has ahead in the game.

"We’ve all seen her athleticism on the big stage, but with an injury-free Chappo, there’s so much more we can build on and I have no doubt we can continue elevating her game.

"I believe we haven't seen the best of Jaime Chapman yet and that's really exciting."

As a passionate ambassador for rugby league, the proud Kamilaroi woman keeps herself heavily involved off the field, actively seeking out community members in need of support and dedicating herself to mentoring the next generation of NRLW players.

"She’s not only a mentor and role model for the girls at our club, but also for young players in the community, especially as a young Indigenous female in the game," Murphy said.

"Everywhere she goes, she's just got that presence that attracts young girls out there to want to be the next Jaime Chapman and that's such a powerful tool.

"She's got a big heart that people don't often notice when she crosses that white line.

"She's obviously a competitor out there on the field but she's extremely passionate about the work she does out there in our community with the club."

Murphy acknowledged the hurdles Sky Blues representative faced last season after her return from Origin and suffering another injury blow during her time with the Indigenous All Stars earlier this year, but is optimistic to see what an in-form Chapman will bring to the side in 2025.

"We really felt her absence last year as she battled injury from the moment she returned from Origin," she said.

"She tried to get back on the paddock but we just couldn't get her back to full fitness which was frustrating both for Chappo and the team missing her presence on the field.

"We look forward to her being fit and healthy this season though and I know us having a in-form Jaime Chapman is going to make a big difference."
