The Titans are proud to unveil their 2025 Anzac Round jersey, continuing their strong partnership with Currumbin RSL to pay tribute to service and sacrifice across all facets of the Australian Defence Force.

The playing kit - which will be worn in Round 8 against the Cowboys - honours the legacy of former Titans member Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG; whilst also recognising the contributions of Royal Australian Navy veteran Sue White and Royal Australian Air Force officer Matilda Busby - the pair representing the role women play in the defence force.

Both are proud members of Currumbin / Palm Beach RSL Sub Branch.

This year’s design draws inspiration from history, blending military recognition with rugby league heritage. The base design is modelled on the jersey White wore in 1977 when she played women’s rugby league - an era when opportunities for female players were rare.

Today, this has grown significantly with the Titans proudly fielding their own NRLW team, making this nod to the past even more meaningful.

The jersey also features military-inspired elements, including camouflaged trim on both sleeves - army on the left for Corporal Baird and Air Force on the right for Busby - representing the different branches of service.

One of the most powerful design elements is the stylised image of Corporal Baird on the lower section of the jersey, alongside the words Aspire to Inspire - his motto - which reinforces his legacy of bravery and leadership.

Titans CEO Steve Mitchell is proud to work alongside Currumbin RSL to develop this year's jersey.

"Anzac Round is such an important weekend in our calendar with our strong relationship with the Currumbin RSL that has continued to grow over the last few years. It's an honour to collaborate with them for this year's jersey we'll wear against the Cowboys in Townsville," he said.

"Drawing inspiration from history and how past service and sacrifice has inspired our future, the playing kit honours the legacy of Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG who continues to provide motivation across our club through his strong values and personal motto - 'Aspire to Inspire'.

"What is also special about this year's jersey is the recognition of women and the role they play in the defence force through Sue and Matilda - who continue to pave the way.

"This is incredibly important for our club who champion the female game through our very own NRLW team under the leadership of trailblazer Karyn Murphy."

Currumbin RSL CEO Daragh Murphy is honoured to have played a part in the jersey design as part of their continued relationship with the Gold Coast NRL team.

"Our partnership with the Titans continues to strengthen from year to year and we're really proud to help conceptualise the jersey that will be worn during this year's Anzac Round," he said.

"It's an honour to join with the club to continue respecting the legacy of Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG; who is represented again this year, but it's also incredibly special to recognise the role women play in defence.

"Sue White is a pioneer and continues to inspire females today - even after retiring from over 20 years of service - and Matilda Busby is a representation of the future, in the infancy of her journey after joining the defence force straight out of school.

"We are proud to count them both as members of our Sub Branch.

"We are truly grateful for the club's thoughtfulness and for their time in working with us again this year to pay tribute to past, present and future service and sacrifice.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the Titans run out against the Cowboys representing our RSL with the Anzac Round jersey they will be wearing."

The partnership with Currumbin RSL continues beyond Anzac Round each year, with the Titans providing complimentary tickets for every home game at Cbus Super Stadium, a gesture that is always appreciated by the veterans that attend.

These tickets are quickly claimed, reflecting the strong bond between the club and the RSL community.
