The Gold Coast Titans are deeply saddened to announce the passing of long-serving Leagueability player, Hudson Wicks, at the age of 21.

Hudson proudly wore the Titans jersey for over seven years and was a passionate and committed member of the club’s Adaptive Rugby League program. He also represented the Australian Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) team on five occasions – a testament to his talent, determination and love for the game.

Hudson first became involved with the Titans in Year 10 while attending Aquinas College. Through his involvement in the program, he found not only a team, but a family – and later, meaningful employment with Midway Metals under the guidance and mentorship of his coach, Craig Wallace.

He will be remembered as the teammate everyone wanted by their side – always smiling, full of energy, and known for his kind and generous heart. On the field, he thrived on the competition and physicality of rugby league, giving his all every time he laced up his boots.

Hudson is survived by his loving parents, Fred and Tracy, and his siblings, Archer and Scarlet.

The Titans are working closely with Hudson’s family and teammates to ensure they are supported as they come to terms with this loss.

The Titans extends its deepest condolences to Hudson’s family, friends, teammates, and coaches.

Hudson's funeral details have now been confirmed and further detail can be found here.

The Titans Leagueability will be the curtain raiser fixtures at the Titans v Raiders NRL match on Sunday 20 April at Cbus Super Stadium, with matches commencing from 12:05pm.
