The Gold Coast Titans affiliates, Ipswich Jets, recorded victory in the Hostplus Cup over the weekend, keeping them in touch with the all-important finals positions.

The Ipswich Jets hung on for a 22-20 victory over the PNG Hunters while the Tweed Seagulls had the bye.

The Hunters were fresh off their defeat of the Seagulls the week prior and nearly chased down a last ditch victory with a try in the 77th minute going unconverted, ensuring the Jets would hold on.

With a number of injuries hitting the NRL side the Titans on show included Isazac Faásuamaleaui, Ryan Foran and the returning Josaih Pahulu.

Pahulu had spent a number of weeks on the sideline after receiving a concussion in the Titans second trial match against the Dolphins in February.

With the Titans depth currently being tested, the return of Pahulu will be a welcome addition into NRL team considerations in the coming weeks.

The Jets have the bye over the upcoming Easter long weekend, while the Tweed Seagulls will play the Wynnum Manly Seagulls to make-up their round 1 fixture that was cancelled due to Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred earlier in the year.
